Catherine Blancard

Working closely with senior leadership, Catherine connects conservation, communications and resource mobilization. She collaborates with scientists, field teams, policy experts, corporate partners, and community representatives to drive measurable action towards WWF’s mission.

Previously, Catherine played an integral role in strategy development, supported programmatic implementation, and led communications efforts for WWF’s freshwater team. Prior to joining WWF, she lived in southeast India, where she worked with organic farmers, sustainable foresters, and local conservationists to protect and restore networks of green spaces. While in India, she also provided consulting services to environmental and social entrepreneurs. Earlier in her career, she led the digital practice of a Boston-based public relations agency and developed messaging, thought leadership platforms, and communications strategies for the firm’s mission-focused clients.
