GLOBAL CLIMATE ACTION SUMMIT 2018

We are at a critical moment in history.  The decisions we make in the next few years will largely determine our ability to carve out a safer and more prosperous future—and keep global temperatures below safe levels.

The good news? Every person can make a difference.

On September 12-14, the Global Climate Action Summit will bring together US and international leaders who are committed to turning the tide in the fight against climate change. It’s the first ever global climate summit, focused exclusively on the actions and ambitions of businesses, cities, states and citizens worldwide.

Ahead of this landmark moment, WWF is helping to drive a new wave of climate action from businesses and local leaders worldwide, setting targets in line with science, uniting a sector around solutions that come from natural ecosystems and land-use, and scaling up renewable energy use.

UNITING FOR CHANGE

In the US, WWF and our partners are working with the We Are Still In coalition to ensure the US honors its commitment to the Paris Agreement.  Now 2,800 strong and representing over 150 million Americans, We Are Still in has emerged as the new face of climate leadership in the US.

Globally, WWF is challenging businesses, universities and leaders from state and regional government to strengthen their climate goals by improving the ways we use our natural and working lands to produce our food, fiber, and fuel. We’re also calling on global citizens to take simple actions to limit food waste and its impact on the climate—from making healthy, responsible dietary choices to keeping food out of landfills and reducing carbon emissions. Together, we can all be a part of the solution.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT

On September 8, in San Francisco and around the world, WWF will be taking to the streets, mobilizing people and communities to create a powerful movement calling for real climate leadership.

Whether you’re a CEO, a mayor, a community organizer, or a global citizen, we’re asking you to join us:
